Job Description

The Safety Officer 30N25 plays a critical role in maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees, visitors, and the physical workplace. Emphasizing the health and safety regulations, the Safety Officer ensures that all operations comply with relevant laws and safety standards. They are tasked with minimizing risks and hazards through thorough inspections, investigations, and safety campaigns. Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure organizational compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures to minimize risks.
  • Oversee incident and accident investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Promote safety awareness and conduct training programs for employees and staff.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
  • Compile and maintain data on safety incidents and trends for management review.
  • Coordinate emergency response activities and lead safety drills in accordance with protocols.
  • Implement corrective measures to address identified safety hazards and incidents.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports detailing safety audits, risks identified, and corrective actions taken.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees on matters relating to health and safety.
  • Recommend necessary safety equipment and personal protective gear for various job categories.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry safety trends and regulatory changes affecting the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree related to occupational health and safety or a related field.
  • Certification in occupational health and safety is highly beneficial and preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a safety officer role or similar position.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills to effectively identify and address safety risks and hazards.
  • Excellent communication skills for training, reporting, and liaison work between departments.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound judgments regarding safety matters.
