Job Description

Role Summary

We are looking for a Risk System and Strategy Deployment Manager professional to take ownership of our credit risk systems and serve as the primary bridge between our Risk Strategy, Engineering, and Operations teams.

This role is critical to ensuring that credit risk policies, models, and rules are accurately and efficiently translated into executable decision engine flows. You will work closely with the Risk Strategy and Software Engineering teams, driving delivery, resolving issues, and helping shape how our risk systems evolve as our lending products grow.

Responsibilities

  • Own product requirements for credit risk systems, including the decision engine, customer limit management system, fraud system, and data platform.
  • Deploy credit risk policies, scorecards, models, and business rules into the decision engine and model platform with accuracy and speed.
  • Monitor strategy performance, approval rates, rejection reasons, error rates, and overall system stability.
  • Maintain thorough documentation covering decision logic, rule versions, data fields, test results, and deployment records.
  • Act as the key liaison between the Risk Strategy, Engineering, QA, Operations, and vendor teams — clarifying requirements, tracking delivery, and resolving production issues.
  • Provide consultation and hands-on support to the Risk Strategy Team for strategy design, review, and implementation.
  • Manage timelines and delivery milestones for system initiatives, ensuring cross-functional alignment throughout.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of risk system projects, from requirements gathering and scoping through to testing, deployment, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Maintain project trackers, manage stakeholder communications, and surface risks and blockers proactively.
  • Work within Agile frameworks using tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage sprints, backlogs, and documentation.
  • Translate business and risk requirements into low-to-mid fidelity UI prototypes and wireframes to communicate expected system behaviour and interface design to engineering teams.
  • Ensure that decision logic and workflow requirements are visualised clearly enough to reduce ambiguity during development and UAT.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in banking, consumer finance, fintech, lending, credit cards, or similar financial services environments.
  • Hands-on experience with decision engines, rule engines, credit decisioning platforms, or strategy management systems.
  • Solid understanding of credit risk processes, including policy design, scorecard deployment, and lending lifecycle management.
  • Strong SQL or Python skills for data analysis, querying, and workflow automation.
  • Ability to write clear and structured requirements, test cases, deployment documents, and issue analysis reports.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with prototyping or wireframing tools to produce UI mockups and visualise system flows.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and cross-functional communication skills.
