The candidate will lead and supervise a team of Risk & Safety Engineers, facilitating workshops, and support in preparing proposals.
This fulltime position would be based at Technical Center - Abu Dhabi office. The role would involve occasional travel to world-wide locations to meet project requirements.
Qualification
Bachelors or Masters in Chemical Engineer or equivalent
Minimum 15 years of experience in Risk & Safety studies, Loss Prevention and Process safety management in the OGC Sector.
Holds international recognized certificate (e.g. Certified Functional Safety Professional (CFSP), etc.)
Experience
Proven experience in leading a small/medium size team performing various technical safety studies (QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, safety case, etc.)
Proven experience in facilitating various Process Safety Workshops e.g. HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP, MOPO, BowTie, etc.
Solid experience working with DNV PHAST/ SAFETI, Flaresim and Bow-tie XP.
Proven track record in performing Technical safety services for large scale/complex projects in the OGC sector including onshore, offshore, petrochemical, terminal, pipeline etc.
Basis Responsibilities
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience and competency with the following:
Capable of leading a team of Risk & Safety engineers, checking the technical integrity of deliverables, delivering reports within allocated schedule and budget
Independently Manage clients / regulators ensuring technical deliverables meet contract technical requirements, scope of work and applicable standards.
Knowledge of International and local standards and codes, and major NOCs procedures (in particular ADNOC Group, ARAMCO, QatarEnergy, etc)
Technical Competency in leading and performing key technical safety srvices (Consequence Analysis, QRA, FERA, BRA, EERA, ESSA, Bow-tie, Dropped Object Study, Vent/Flare Dispersion, F&G Mapping, Safety Cases/COMAH, etc.)
Facilitating various process safety studies and workshops (ALARM Rationalization, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, etc.)
Conducting Process Safety Management (PSM) Audits
Preparation of technical/ commercial proposals
Experience In The Following Areas Is Also Desirable
Experience in Human Factors, ALARM Rationalization, SIL Verification, 3D F&G Mapping, etc. will be treated as additional points.
Experience in Shell FRED, Shell SHEPHERD, ExSILentia software will be treated as additional points.
Experience working with International Oil Companies (IOCs) such as Shell, TOTALEnergies, ENI, BP, ExxonMobil, Petronas, etc.)
