Job Description

The Reservations Agent is a crucial member of our hospitality team, responsible for managing booking inquiries, reservations, and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests. This role involves direct communication with potential and existing guests, providing them with information on availability, rates, offers, and additional services available. The agent must be personable and demonstrate excellent customer service skills, assisting guests with all their booking needs swiftly and accurately. A successful Reservations Agent will maintain comprehensive knowledge of our services and facilities, as well as local attractions, to provide insightful recommendations and enhance the guest experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming calls and emails related to reservation inquiries and bookings.
  • Provide detailed information on availability, rates, and special offers to potential guests.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient reservations processes.
  • Accurately maintain and update reservation systems with current booking information.
  • Provide guests with personalized service and ensure a pleasant and satisfactory experience.
  • Handle modifications and cancellations of reservations in a professional manner.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on reservations status and trends.
  • Assist in processing payments and handling billing issues for reservation transactions.
  • Work closely with the sales team to optimize revenue through effective reservation management.
  • Stay informed about local attractions and services to provide recommendations to guests.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues related to reservations promptly and effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures concerning reservations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly, helpful demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient with reservation and property management software systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
