Research Associate Polymer-nanotechnology

Job Description

The Department of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research Associate (RA) in the areas of polymers and nanotechnology. The RA candidate should be knowledgeable of polymer processing and physical characterization techniques. The candidate should be able to synthesize, characterize and functionalize nano particles for polymer nanocomposites applications. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in the both fields: polymers and nanotechnology, and have a master degree in relevant field.

Minimum Qualification

An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following:

• Skilled in polymer technology
• Ability to synthesize and characterize nanomaterial
• Good technical writing skills
• Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.
  
  

• Command of physical properties of polymers
• Command of using polymer processing equipment
• Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab
• Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
• Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
