Research Assistant Position with Opportunity to Transition into a PhD Program A 3-month (Oct-Dec 2026) Research Assistant (RA) position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sahar Mohsin at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), United Arab Émirates University (UAEU). The selected candidate wil have the opportunity to transition into the PhD in Biomedical Sciences Program beginning in January, subject to meeting university admission requirements. The project focuses on the analysis of RNA-Seq datasets generated from control, diabetic, and treatment groups. Research activities wil include the identification and characterization of microRNAs (miRNAs) and long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), prediction of gene targets, `onstruction of competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) networks using bioinformatics approaches and subsequent experimental validation. Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Bioinformatics or a closely related discipline. Experience in bioinformatic analysis is essential, while familiarity with molecular biology techniques such as gRT-PCR and Western blotting is highly desirable. The position is funded through a research grant from United Arab Emirates University.
