Research Assistant

Job Description

The Zayed Bin Sultan Center for Health Sciences (ZCHS), UAE University, is seeking to appoint a research assistant to support its research activities in infectious diseases epidemiology. We are looking for a highly motivated and suitably qualified candidate with training, experience, and achievements in epidemiological research. Duties and Responsibilities: - Assist in designing and conducting epidemiological studies on infectious diseases. - Support data collection, management, and analysis using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R). - Conduct literature reviews and synthesize evidence to support research projects. - Contribute to manuscript preparation and submission for peer-reviewed publications. - Assist in preparing research reports, presentations, and grant proposals. - Support research-related administrative tasks, including ethics applications, documentation, and coordination of research meetings. - Perform any other research-related tasks as required

Minimum Qualification

• A Master’s degree in public health/epidemiology or a related field or a bachelor's degree in a biomedical-related field (preferably in public health/epidemiology) with strong experience in epidemiological research related to infectious diseases would also be considered. - Demonstrated experience in epidemiological research and data analysis. - Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, R, SAS). - Strong scientific writing skills, with experience in manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed journals. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team.
  
  

Preferred Qualification

A Master’s degree in public health and/or epidemiology with: - Experience in research related to infectious disease epidemiology. - Previous involvement in research grants and project administration. - Familiarity with systematic reviews and meta-analyses.

6000-8000 AED
