Research Assistant (Biochemistry / Computational Molecular Modeling) College of Medicine and Health Sciences-UAEU, employed as full-time staff member participating in research, teaching and administrative activities.
Support research activities in line with project objectives and timelines.
Assist with data collection, analysis, and documentation.
Contribute to scientific writing, including drafting and editing manuscripts, reports, and grant materials.
Maintain accurate research records and databases.
Coordinate with team members to track project progress and deliverables.
Ensure compliance with university policies and research regulations.
Provide administrative and logistical support for research activities as needed.
Perform protein structure modeling, refinement, and validation using established computational platforms.
Utilize AI-based tools for protein structure prediction and functional annotation.
Conduct molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulations, and structural bioinformatics analyses.
Analyze protein–protein and protein–ligand interactions and interpret computational results.
Prepare, clean, and manage sequence, structural, and experimental datasets.
Generate high-quality figures, structural visualizations, and summary tables for publications and reports.
Conduct literature searches and systematic reviews to support research objectives.
Contribute to writing, editing, and formatting scientific manuscripts, abstracts, and technical reports.
Assist in preparing grant applications, progress reports, and project documentation.
Maintain detailed and organized records of methodologies, workflows, and analysis outputs.
Support project tracking, including monitoring assigned tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
Present findings in lab meetings, research discussions, and internal reviews.
Ensure adherence to data management standards, research ethics, and institutional policies.
Minimum Qualification
M.Sc. degree in a relevant discipline
Preferred Qualification
PhD.
Expected Skills
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience in computational molecular analysis or structural biology.
Experience in academic research environments Minimum 3-4 years in academic or research institution setting and/or in the relevant scientific field.
