Research Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team in the Genetics and Genomics Department of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. You will carry out research focused on the molecular basis of cardiovascular disease. This full time fixed-term post is funded by the United Arab Emirates University for up to 4 months and is based at the Department of Genetics and Genomics, College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Al-Ain, UAE. The UAE is an open and tolerant society and clearly one of the most attractive places to live and work in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates University is situated in the city of Al-Ain. Abu Dhabi and Dubai are only an hours drive from Al-Ain. The actual starting salary offered will be based on qualifications and relevant skills acquired and will be determined by the funding available.

Minimum Qualification

Applicants should hold at least an BSc in a relevant subject area

Expected Skills

should have experience in the area of cardiovascular disease pathophysiology and genetics. You will have extensive experience in Bioinformatics and Omics data analysis. You will have experience of managing your own academic research and associated activities, together with previous experience of publishing original research. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
