Research Assistant Solid Waste Management

Job Description

The Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of solid waste management. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of solid waste characterization, bioreactor experiments. The candidate should be able to synthesize and characterize landfill derived waste materials including plastic waste and perform laboratory experiments to generate results required for life cycle assessment. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in the solid waste characterization and have a master’s degree in related field. Prior research publications is an added advantage.

Minimum Qualification

Master’s in engineering/science/technology

Preferred Qualification

Master’s in civil engineering/environmental engineering/environmental science
