Research Assistant Anaerobic Digestion Of Biomass

Job Description

The Architectural Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a research assistant in the area of Anaerobic Digestion of animal manure to generate biogas and bio fertilizer. The research assistant should be knowledgeable of anaerobic digestion process specifically focusing on role of micro environment on methanogenic growth through direct interspecies electron transfer (DIET) pathways. The candidate should be able to measure TS, VS, of feedback and NPK, and PH of slurry and biogas yield. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience in the fields of environmental science, Renewable Energy and Soil Structure.

Minimum Qualification

An appropriate educational degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry and Environmental Science/Engineering supplemented with documented evidence to support the following:

• Skilled in handling microbial environment
• Good technical writing skills
• Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.

• Command of anaerobic digestion
• Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab
• Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
