Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in the Outpatient Department (OPD) with DHA certification, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system, providing top-notch nursing care to a diverse group of patients. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized and compassionate patient care while ensuring all clinical and administrative protocols are followed. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented nurse who is capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, administering treatments, and documenting patient progress. Communication and patient advocacy are key components of this role, along with continuous professional development to maintain high standards of care.


Responsibilities

  • Assess and evaluate patient needs to determine the appropriate care plan.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
  • Collaborate with doctors and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Educate patients and their families on managing diseases and treatments.
  • Ensure compliance with nursing standards, lab protocols, and hospital policies.
  • Conduct routine health assessments and screenings for outpatient consultations.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients throughout their treatment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of patient care programs.
  • Manage outpatient logistics to optimize patient flow and reduce wait times.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in nursing practice and patient care.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and perform life-saving procedures if required.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current DHA license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field is required.
  • At least two years of experience working in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to perform various medical procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients.
  • Capability to work independently while also being a team player in healthcare settings.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record systems for documentation purposes.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following ethical guidelines.
