Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a healthcare professional responsible for providing patient care and supporting nursing staff in treating patients across various medical settings. As an RN, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of patients by administering medications, conducting diagnostic tests, and educating patients about healthcare management. Your role extends to coordinating with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop comprehensive care plans. Registered Nurses are essential in promoting patient safety and often act as the first point of contact for patients navigating the complexities of medical care. Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed healthcare plans and protocols.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs collaboratively with medical teams.
  • Monitor patient's condition and document any changes or progress accurately and timely.
  • Collaborate with doctors and other health care professionals to improve patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment care routines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, both electronic and physical, as required.
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary environment for patients by adhering to healthcare regulations.
  • Provide support and mentorship to nursing staff and other junior medical personnel.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated with medical advancements.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and ensure thorough communication with patients' families.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or unexpected events in a calm and professional manner.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to prioritize and manage time efficiently in a busy environment.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state-issued Registered Nurse (RN) license is mandatory.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or an associate's degree in nursing is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced medical environments.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical software.
  • Commitment to upholding patient privacy and adhering to confidentiality standards.
