Job Description

The Recruitment Officer plays a crucial role in managing and implementing effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent. They work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide expert advice on recruitment processes. The Recruitment Officer is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring candidates while ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. They leverage their expertise to develop and maintain a strong employer brand and champion a diverse and inclusive recruitment process. The role demands excellent communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment. The Recruitment Officer also stays abreast of changing labor market trends and leverages innovative sourcing techniques to connect with qualified candidates.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions.
  • Design and implement overall recruiting strategy to meet company staffing needs.
  • Source and recruit candidates using a variety of methods, including databases and social media.
  • Conduct interviews and filter candidates for open positions, ensuring a good fit for the company.
  • Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, and experience through screening processes and interviews.
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential relationships during the selection process.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and ongoing relationship management.
  • Promote the company's reputation as “best place to work” to attract high-quality candidates.
  • Provide analytical and well-documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team and senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with all legal requirements and government reporting regulations related to employment.
  • Attend industry conferences, career fairs, and networking events to enhance company visibility and recruitment efforts.
  • Continuously refine and optimize the recruitment procedures to ensure efficiency and candidate satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven work experience as a Recruitment Officer, Recruiter, or similar position.
  • Strong ability to conduct different types of interviews and candidate evaluations.
  • Familiarity with HR databases and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships with hiring managers.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in using LinkedIn and other professional social networks for recruiting.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment legislation and practices.
  • Strong decision-making skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
