Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy infrastructure? As an RE (Resident Engineer) Civil Cable Consultant for the TAQA Project, you will play a pivotal role in delivering world-class power transmission solutions. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the civil engineering aspects of cable installation, ensuring quality, safety, and innovation at every stage. Your expertise will help drive the success of a landmark project that powers communities and advances sustainable energy goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and monitor all civil works related to underground cable installation, including trenching, ducting, backfilling, and reinstatement.
• Review and approve contractor’s method statements, drawings, and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and TAQA requirements.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, safety, and environmental specialists, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and progress monitoring; prepare and submit daily/weekly reports.
• Identify, report, and resolve any technical or site issues promptly to avoid project delays.
• Ensure all civil works adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Liaise with project stakeholders, attend progress meetings, and provide technical guidance as required.
• Support the project management team with schedule, risk, and resource management related to civil cable works.
  
  

A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in civil engineering, specifically in underground cable installation for power transmission/distribution projects.
• Prior experience working with major utility clients (preferably TAQA or equivalent) and large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of international standards (IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.) and local regulations related to civil and cable works.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office Suite.
• Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PE, or equivalent) is an advantage.
