Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Radiographer with a code 15J25 to join our dynamic medical imaging team. As a Radiographer, your primary responsibility will be to perform diagnostic imaging procedures to support physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. You will be tasked with operating various imaging equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, be able to work collaboratively in a team environment, and maintain a compassionate approach to patient interactions. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the healthcare experience by providing clear and precise images that facilitate accurate diagnoses.


Responsibilities

  • Operate medical imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images for physician review.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.
  • Work closely with radiologists to ascertain the accuracy and clarity of diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures through careful explanation and positioning techniques.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring all machines are in working order.
  • Manage patient records by entering accurate data into the healthcare management system.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide a seamless patient care experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms and tools for sanitation purposes.
  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards in the practice of radiography.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to keep current with technological advancements.
  • Provide emotional support to patients experiencing anxiety related to imaging processes.
  • Ensure compliance with facility regulations and industry standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree or diploma in Radiography from an accredited institution.
  • Registered and licensed to practice as a Radiographer in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical radiography environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of anatomical positioning and medical terminology essentials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient and team collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills crucial for accurate image interpretation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, when required.
