Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a renowned organization known for our high-calibre experience in the region’s-built environment.

We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support delivery on a major infrastructure programme in Abu Dhabi.

This role will focus on supporting post-contract cost management and commercial activities, working closely with senior commercial team members to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements.

You will be part of a structured PMC environment, gaining exposure to large-scale infrastructure projects and working alongside experienced commercial professionals.

Project Scope

• Major strategic infrastructure programme in Abu Dhabi, forming part of a wider master planned road network
• Scope includes roads, interchanges, utilities diversions, drainage, and associated civil infrastructure

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management & Reporting

• Support monitoring of project costs against approved budgets
• Assist in preparing cost reports and forecasts
• Track cost movements and highlight variances

Contract Administration

• Assist in administering contracts in line with project requirements
• Support monitoring of contractor performance and compliance
• Maintain records of contractual correspondence

Valuation & Payment Certification

• Assist in reviewing contractor payment applications
• Support preparation of valuations based on progress
• Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date

Change Control & Variations

• Assist in reviewing variation submissions
• Track and record changes within the project
• Support commercial team in evaluating cost impacts

Risk & Commercial Support

• Support identification of commercial risks
• Assist in maintaining risk registers and reporting
• Provide general commercial support to the project team

Project Close-Out

• Assist with final account preparation and close-out activities
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of commercial records

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
• 5-7 years’ experience in infrastructure or civil projects
• Experience within consultancy, PMC, or contractor environments
• Basic understanding of post-contract commercial processes
• Familiarity with FIDIC contracts is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn

Desirable Attributes

• UAE experience is preferred
• Exposure to infrastructure projects (roads, utilities)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proactive and able to work as part of a team
