Job Description


The Project Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading and managing all quality assurance and quality control activities across construction project in the UAE, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, contract requirements, TAQA standards, and applicable local and international codes. The role involves developing and implementing project quality plans, managing QA/QC teams, overseeing inspections, audits, and material approvals, coordinating with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders, and ensuring that all construction activities meet the highest quality standards while supporting timely project delivery and minimizing rework.


Job Responsibilities:


• Draft project plans based on quality assurance templates, adhering to specifications, to create the Project Quality Plan (PQP).

• Coordinate with the Project Manager to determine quality control team requirements for upcoming projects, subsequently creating the quality control organization chart in collaboration with the QC Projects Manager.

• Communicate and distribute all project documentation, including shop drawings, specifications, and timelines, to ensure that the QC team is aligned and fully aware of all details.

• Review all technical requirements and prices of third-party labs, to advise the technical office in third-party laboratory selection as per project requirements.

• Liaise with selected third-party laboratories, to ensure they receive all the necessary information regarding required tests and material specifications and promptly request a new laboratory if any additional needs arise.

• Review the QC team’s list of inspections and ensure that the Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) for project activities align with the schedules on the ITP list, to proactively follow up on all approvals.

• Arrange and conduct quality meetings with all relevant stakeholders, including clients and consultants, to discuss any quality-related matters and promptly take the required corrective actions, if needed.

• Coordinate with the construction team to receive and review method statements, for QC approval before sending them to the technical office.

• Participate in preparatory meetings for ongoing projects, to ensure that all documentation aligns with quality awareness, inspection requirements, and approved shop drawings.

• Liaise with the construction team to receive and approve mock-ups, collaborating with all relevant parties, and ensuring alignment with documentation and contract requirements.

• Review all measuring requirements to ensure that all equipment has valid calibration and certification.

• Communicate with Projects QC manager to promptly report any relevant quality concerns or hiring needs.

• Review all issued Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) to confirm their validity and tracktheir progress, as needed until the valid claim is resolved.

• Prepare the Quality Performance Indicator report (QPI) quarterly for review by direct manager.

• Collect all filings and logs related to Project Quality Control (QC), NCRs, to finally evaluate team performance.


Job Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering is required.
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in the construction industry with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial level
  • UAE local market experience is mandatory.
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.
  • PMP certification is an advantage.
