Job Description

In this role, you will lead and manage the Quality Control function, driving continuous improvement and team development in line with Jotun’s values. Your key mission is to ensure all products meet relevant specifications through effective testing, analysis, and compliance with local, regional, and corporate standards.


This position reports to the Operations Manager and will be based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QC Team by developing, coaching, and guiding members in line with Jotun’s Leadership Expectations to build a competent and engaged workforce.
  • Ensure Product Quality by managing formulation updates, raw material and finished goods testing, and process control to meet internal standards and customer expectations.
  • Drive Compliance by implementing and monitoring procedures aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, local regulations, and Jotun’s HSEQ Management System.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement through the Jotun Operations System (JOS), 5S, Kaizen, and KPI follow-up to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
  • Handle Customer Complaints by providing technical support, identifying root causes, and coordinating solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee Laboratory Operations including calibration, analytical methods, documentation, audits, and technical guidance on lab equipment and routines.


We are looking for a candidate who:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Quality Control, preferably in a coatings or chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • Solid knowledge of formulation, process optimization, quality testing, and ISO standards.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Familiar with Kaizen, 5S implementation, and HSEQ standards.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
