Job Description

The Quality Control Manager position is essential for ensuring that products meet quality and safety standards before reaching consumers. As a Quality Control Manager, you will oversee the quality assurance team, develop and implement quality control tests, and maintain rigorous testing schedules to ensure product consistency and reliability. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a thorough understanding of quality control methodologies and standards. You will be responsible for problem-solving quality issues, designing precision processes, and understanding customer expectations. Effective communication with production teams and liaising with suppliers to enhance product quality is crucial. The Quality Control Manager will also be responsible for leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and product excellence.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems and protocols.
  • Oversee daily operations of the quality control department and staff.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of products and processes.
  • Analyze quality control test results and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards consistently.
  • Train staff on quality control measures and new testing procedures.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on quality control activities and performance.
  • Manage investigations into quality control failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop metrics to track quality trends and identify areas for change.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure aligned quality expectations and standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall workflow and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and testing procedures.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for precise evaluations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing a team effectively.
  • Proficient in using quality control tools and software applications.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines consistently.
