QHSSE And Sustainability Manager

Ali & Sons is looking for an experienced QHSSE & Sustainability Manager to lead the development and execution of Group-wide QHSE, Sustainability, ESG and Operational Excellence programmes across our diversified portfolio of businesses.

What Youll Do

• Lead the implementation and continual improvement of effective QHSE, Sustainability, ESG and Operational Excellence frameworks across the Group.
• Develop and oversee policies, processes, procedures, training, document control, monitoring, auditing and performance review programmes.
• Lead the annual programme of internal QHSE and ESG audits across Ali & Sons Group companies.
• Ensure the QHSE Management System achieves its intended results and remains aligned with organizational needs and strategic objectives.
• Represent the Company on QHSE and ESG matters with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, government bodies and NGOs.
• Drive continual improvement by proactively identifying risks, opportunities and potential nonconformities and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead and participate in incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and appropriate corrective actions are effectively implemented.
• Build engagement and accountability across the organization to strengthen the effectiveness of the QHSE Management System.
• Develop and implement training programmes that support the sustainable development of QHSE, ESG and Operational Excellence performance.
• Assess and develop the capability of the QHSE team, ensuring the function has the skills and resources required to deliver its responsibilities.
• Strengthen risk and opportunity management across QHSE, Sustainability and Operational Excellence.
• Maintain and continuously improve the Groups Balanced Scorecard Performance Management system.
• Lead, develop and build the capability of the QHSE team.

You should bring:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline ,Masters degree is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant managerial experience in QHSE, HSE, Quality, Sustainability or Operational Excellence.
• NEBOSH and/or IOSH certification.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt qualification.
• ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certifications.
• Strong experience in QHSE management systems, auditing, risk management, incident investigation and continual improvement.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, with a proven ability to drive organizational change.
• Strong business acumen, planning, process management and performance management skills.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that processes needed for the QHSE management system as per ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are established, implemented and maintained throughout the organization; • Reporting to top management on the performance of the QHSE management system and any need for improvement; • Ensuring initiation of action(s) to minimize the likelihood of the occurrence of nonconformities; • Ensuring the promotion of awareness of customer and legal requirements throughout the organization; • Ensuring that the policies and objectives are established for the QHSE management system and are compatible With the context and strategic direction of the organization; • Ensuring the integration of the QHSE management system requirements into the organization’s business processes; • Promoting the use of the process approach and risk‐based thinking; • Communicating the importance of effective QHSE management and of conforming to the QHSE management system requirements; • Ensuring that the QHSE management system achieves its intended results; and • Engaging, directing and supporting personnel to contribute to the effectiveness of the QHSE management system. • Perform other duties assigned by the Group Managing Director.
