Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated QHSE Officer to join our dynamic team, committed to ensuring quality, health, safety, and environmental standards are met consistently across all operational facets. As the QHSE Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies that promote a safe and healthy working environment, while also ensuring compliance with local and international standards. You must be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have the ability to handle a diverse range of responsibilities that include risk assessments, inspections, and process evaluations. Your expertise will be critical in fostering a culture that prioritizes safety excellence and quality assurance, leading to enhanced operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures that ensure compliance and safety.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety and health hazards.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and analyze current practices, suggesting improvements for enhanced safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations concerning quality and safety.
  • Prepare and present reports detailing safety and quality performance metrics regularly.
  • Coordinate and conduct training sessions related to quality, health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and environmental non-compliances.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation concerning QHSE standards and operational protocols.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions related to QHSE issues.
  • Facilitate risk assessments and coordinate emergency response planning and preparedness.
  • Stay updated on new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a QHSE officer or in a similar regulatory role.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems and global quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering complex information clearly.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations and implement preventive measures effectively.
  • Proficiency in using QHSE management software and relevant IT tools.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
