The QA/QC Inspector is accountable for ensuring that construction or landscape projects meet or exceed specified quality standards. They play a crucial role in identifying and rectifying deviations from these standards, thereby contributing to the overall success and compliance of the project. Their accountability extends to maintaining accurate records, collaborating with project teams, and facilitating continuous improvement in quality control processes. The QA/QC Inspector is an essential component in delivering projects that meet client expectations and regulatory requirements
Roles, Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and guidelines for construction and landscape projects.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Review project plans, drawings, and specifications to identify and resolve potential quality issues.
Collaborate with design and engineering teams to establish and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Perform on-site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and compliance with project specifications.
Conduct regular checks on construction and landscaping activities to ensure they align with approved plans and quality standards.
Identify and document non-conformities, and work with the project team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Manage and maintain documentation of quality control activities, including reports, test results, and inspection records.
Coordinate and conduct material testing as per project requirements.
Maintain accurate records of all test results and inspections.
Prepare comprehensive quality control reports for management and project stakeholders.
Ensure that all relevant documentation is properly organized and accessible for audits and reviews.
Provide training to project personnel on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Communicate quality expectations to subcontractors and suppliers and ensure their compliance with established standards.
Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the project team.
Stay informed about relevant construction codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
Ensure that all construction and landscape activities comply with applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Qualification
A Diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
Experience & Skills
Industry Experience (No. of years):
Proven experience in a similar role within the construction and landscape industry.
Position/functional Experience (No. Of Years)
Competencies and Skills:
Relevant certifications in quality assurance and quality control.
