QA QC Engineer

We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical QA/QC Engineer to join our quality assurance team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

* Monitor and oversee contractors' QA/QC activities, Quality Management Plans, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and quality procedures to ensure compliance with project requirements, specifications, drawings, and applicable power and utilities standards.

* Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), test reports, contractors' material submittals, test certificates, and manufacturer documentation to ensure materials and workmanship meet approved specifications and utility standards.

* Identify quality issues, non-conformances, and defects; monitor and track Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) through to close-out, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

* Participate in quality audits, inspections, and site walks with the contractor, client, utility providers, authorities, and other project stakeholders.

* Monitor contractors' compliance with approved Quality Management Systems, relevant ISO standards, and applicable authority requirements.

* Coordinate with engineering, construction, commercial, HSE, commissioning, operations, and project management teams to resolve quality-related matters and manage quality-related risks.

* Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, NCRs, quality observations, corrective actions, commissioning activities, and handover documentation in accordance with project requirements and utility authority procedures.

* Review and monitor the quality aspects of as-built documentation, handover dossiers, O&M manuals, test packs, and final quality records.

* Provide regular quality reports and updates to the PMC management team and client, including quality performance trends and outstanding issues affecting power and utilities infrastructure.

• A proven track record within the same / similar position 
• Having a Construction related degree is desirable 
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is necessary 
• Consultancy experience is preferable 
• Local relevant QA/QC experience is highly desirable 
• Good communication and analytical skills are required
