Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and oversee the Companys purchasing function, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The successful candidate will provide functional leadership, manage supplier relationships, oversee the effective use of the Coupa procurement platform, and ensure purchasing activities are executed in accordance with company policies and internal controls. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, the Purchasing Manager will drive operational efficiency, enhance supplier performance, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function. 

 Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and manage the purchasing function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational requirements. 

• Oversee the end-to-end purchasing process to ensure timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality, cost, and service standards. 

• Supervise and provide guidance to the Purchasing Specialist, ensuring purchasing activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with established procedures. 

• Review and approve purchase requisitions, purchase orders and contracts. 

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, negotiate commercial terms. 

• Assist Business Unit to monitor supplier performance and support the identification of opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and service enhancements. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies, delegated authority limits, contractual requirements, and applicable regulatory obligations. 

• Establish and monitor purchasing KPIs, service levels, and reporting to drive accountability and performance. 

• Assist supplier onboarding, due diligence, and documentation requirements in accordance with company procedures. 

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency, governance, and controls. 

• Support internal and external audits by maintaining accurate purchasing records and ensuring documentation is complete and readily available. 

• Prepare management reports and provide regular updates on purchasing activities, supplier performance, savings initiatives, and operational risks. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, or a related discipline. 

• Minimum 5 years experience in purchasing or procurement including experience in a supervisory or management capacity. 

• Experience managing suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and overseeing purchasing operations. 

• Experience with Coupa or similar purchasing systems is preferred. 

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills. 

• Good commercial awareness and negotiation skills. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. 

• Sound understanding of purchasing processes, controls, and governance. 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
