Responsibilities
Lead multiple concurrent sustaining-capital, brownfield modification and selected medium standalone hydrocarbon projects from early opportunity identification through capture, award, delivery and close-out. Act as the customer-facing sales representative, capture lead and delivery lead in one: securing work, shaping winning scopes and then delivering safe, technically robust and commercially sound outcomes through customers, Local OPCOs, EPC/EPCM contractors, vendors, site teams and multi-location engineering resources.
Accountable for multiple small Sus-Cap, plant modification, debottlenecking, replacement, tie-in and asset-integrity scopes running in parallel, from customer engagement and proposal development through study, concept/select, FEED, detailed engineering, procurement support, construction support, commissioning and handover.
Maintain an integrated view of assigned, pipeline and awarded projects, including priorities, milestones, resources, deliverables, risks, opportunities, interfaces and customer commitments. Set proportionate governance, rebalance resources, protect critical-path activities and escalate constraints early.
Own the front-end customer relationship for assigned opportunities, acting as sales representative, capture lead and delivery lead. Identify prospects, shape scopes, position Worley’s value proposition, coordinate technical and commercial inputs, support pricing and approvals, and ensure proposals are realistic, differentiated and executable.
Lead brownfield definition and execution with focus on existing asset data, site surveys, constructability, operability, maintainability, isolation, shutdown windows, tie-ins, commissioning and safe handover. Ensure hazards and execution risks are addressed through appropriate assurance activities.
Act as the Worley focal point for customers and Local OPCOs, aligning priorities, decisions and performance. Coordinate EPCs, contractors, vendors, licensors and internal teams with clear interfaces, responsibilities, deliverables, review cycles and escalation paths.
Prepare fit-for-purpose execution plans and control scope, schedule, cost, progress, quality, resources, risk, opportunity and change across multiple concurrent projects. Maintain accurate forecasts, support timely invoicing and protect entitlement through disciplined records and commercial awareness
Integrate multi-discipline engineering, ensure requirements and standards are applied, and focus attention on critical interfaces and key deliverables. Lead multi-location teams with clear objectives, delegated accountabilities, practical priorities and strong collaboration.
Makes day-to-day project decisions across assigned work within delegated authority and approved baselines. Recommend strategies, priorities, recovery plans and technical/commercial options, escalating material safety, customer, contractual, financial, schedule or operational issues.
Advanced use of project management, controls, document management, risk, action tracking and reporting systems, plus Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Desirable: Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and customer/EPC document platforms.
Safe, compliant and predictable delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
Constructable brownfield solutions with controlled tie-ins and minimal avoidable operational impact.
Strong customer confidence, visible pipeline ownership and conversion of opportunities into executable, commercially sound work.
Accurate forecasting, timely invoicing, controlled change and concise project reporting that enables decisions across multiple concurrent projects.
Qualifications and Experience:
Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification, with demonstrable project management, controls, contract and risk-management competence.
Typically 15+ years’ hydrocarbons project delivery experience, including substantial project and/or engineering management responsibility.
Proven ability to run several projects at once, balancing priorities, resources, customer commitments, schedule, cost, risk, quality and cash flow.
Demonstrated ability to identify, secure and grow work with customers, translating operational needs into compelling scopes, proposals and executable delivery plans.
Extensive brownfield experience in live operating assets, including modifications, tie-ins, debottlenecking, shutdown interfaces, SIMOPS and asset integrity scopes.
Strong working knowledge of Local OPCO expectations, EPC/EPCM interfaces, customer systems, hydrocarbon standards and multi-discipline engineering delivery.
