Job Purpose
The Project HSE Manager at Basatin Landscaping will lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives for projects in Abu Dhabi, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a culture of safety across all operations. This pivotal role supports our mission to deliver landscaping projects that prioritize environmental stewardship and employee well-being.
Roles, Responsibilities & Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor project-specific HSE policies and procedures aligning with national laws and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis, implementing effective preventive measures.
- Coordinate HSE training programs to enhance workforce awareness and competency.
- Collaborate with project management for integrating HSE considerations into project planning and execution phases.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and emerging regulations in health, safety, and environmental management.
Qualification
Successful candidates will hold a relevant bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent professional HSE qualifications are required.
In-depth understanding of UAE HSE legislation, standards, and guidelines is essential. Knowledge of landscaping project environments and associated risks will be highly regarded.
The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership abilities to influence teams and foster a safety-first mindset. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are crucial to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in using HSE management software and Microsoft Office Suite is expected. Fluency in English is mandatory to ensure clear communication across diverse teams.
