Highly skilled and experienced Project Director to join our team and play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of high scale and complex construction projects and bring a fresh perspective to our construction department.
Provide senior-level management with all project delivery phases from inception to completion and be responsible for successfully delivering the entire project.
Lead contact between the internal and external delivery team members, working in collaboration with the Managing Director, to ensure that the desired project objectives are achieved and the proactive engagement with the client.
Professional proactive approach, leading by example in your management style, being able to motivate a high-performing team and being able to manage complex relationships at all levels.
Key Accountabilities
Construction Project Deliver
Lead the Project Management Team to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the delivery phases of the project.
Lead and collaborate on all site activities to ensure objectives are accomplished within the project time frame and budget parameters.
Assess and review the project’s Key Performance Indicators to determine the accurate status of the project, make decisions for allocating resources, and assign staff requirements to maintain the project on target.
Promotes technical excellence on the project managing the project delivery with all internal and external stakeholder teams, including subcontractors.
Manage changes to the project and lead on managing the client approval on all changes before proceeding with changes in the parameters.
Prepare reports for corrective action plans if the project is behind schedule or over budget, and present solutions to Operations Director for the plan for recovery. Review status reports prepared by PMT Managers and ensure that the overall big picture aligns with the entire project plan.
Collaborate and manage the project team members to provide mentoring, guidance and advice and resolve problems ensuring a proactive and collaborative work environment. Ensuring all PMT teams have effective resources and perform with expected efficiency and productivity.
Oversees establishment of the Work Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and other processes to ensure the highest level of safety is practised in a safe work environment with a proactive and motivated team.
Completes other responsibilities associated with the position as may be appropriate.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure that all construction and project activity delivery meet legal and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain construction and project best practices and quality assurance processes within the department.
Manage the construction and project activity to ensure they are commercially feasible for the market, compares with UAE best practice and complies with the company’s objectives.
Manages commercial project constraints and overall deliverability of the strategies and plans.
Comply with the company’s policies, plans and procedures, a robust plan and schedule for the project delivery.

6. Competencies:
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Demonstrated experience 20 years’ experience in project management functions in a multinational organisation spanning multiple markets working in the Contracting and Construction
Relevant working experience in well-established Contracting Companies in UAE, A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction specifically with land and marine infrastructure works.
Broad experience working with teams across various operationally intensive environments in a complex multinational and multicultural setting.
Strong business and commercial acumen, understanding of the business context, including competitive pressures and market expectations, and proven ability to align and adapt strategies with business needs.
Bachelor’s degree Qualification in a relevant field, e.g. Civil or MEP, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Masters degree is a plus.
Professional qualification in Project Management and Construction Management is a plus.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes means and methods.
Expert knowledge of Roads, infrastructure and Marine products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
Understanding all facets of the construction process including details technical knowledge
Ability to plan and see the “big picture” with proven leadership ability, communications skills, interpersonal skills, and sound judgment. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
Have managed and been responsible for major construction of multimillions AED value projects.
