Job Description

The Project Coordinator (Engineering) is responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects within the organization. This role requires a capable individual who can coordinate activities across various teams, manage schedules, track progress, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of engineering processes. They will liaise between the project management team and engineers to ensure that project objectives are met and technical standards are maintained. Attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve are essential, as the Project Coordinator must address any challenges that arise during the project lifecycle to ensure successful outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project tasks and deliverables across multiple engineering teams.
  • Assist project managers in creating detailed project plans and timelines.
  • Monitor project progress and update key performance metrics regularly.
  • Facilitate communication between engineers and project management stakeholders.
  • Identify project risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Organize and attend meetings to provide updates on project status.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure records are accurately kept.
  • Support project budget management by tracking expenditures and conducting cost analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure necessary project resources.
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations at project completion to assess outcomes.
  • Implement process improvements based on project lessons learned and feedback.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in project coordination or similar roles in engineering companies.
  • Strong understanding of engineering project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
  • Proficient in using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Asana.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects concurrently with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
