About The Role
As a Production Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating and leading daily production activities within the assigned line, area, shift, or product scope to ensure safe, timely, and compliant execution of production plans and production orders. This role involves controlling line readiness, manpower allocation, routing discipline, material flow and staging, ERP/SAP/MES updates, OLE/OEE visibility, issue ownership, technical understanding of line issues, documentation completion, quality, HSE, 5S, shift reporting, and escalation to support production continuity and department targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead daily shop-floor production activities to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time execution of production plans.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, equipment, and documentation to maintain production readiness and workflow continuity.
- Monitor production performance, WIP, output, and line activities to identify and resolve issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with work instructions, quality standards, HSE requirements, PPE usage, and 5S practices.
- Manage and escalate production, equipment, material, and system-related issues, driving timely resolution and recovery.
- Maintain accurate production records and ERP/SAP/MES updates, ensuring traceability and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers, and support teams to achieve production targets and improve operational efficiency.
- Support audits, training, continuous improvement initiatives, new product introductions, and special production projects.
Basic Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in production, manufacturing, operations, technical assembly, testing, maintenance support, or a related operational environment, including experience coordinating shop-floor activities or supporting team execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical, Electronics, or a related technical field
Preferred Qualification
- Experience in a structured, regulated, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, engineering, or technical production environment, with exposure to ERP systems, SAP/MES, production orders, routings, labour booking, OLE/OEE, material staging, quality requirements, HSE controls, reporting, documentation discipline, audit readiness, and shop-floor leadership.
- Training or certification in production leadership, shop-floor management, ERP/SAP/MES basics, production order and routing control, quality awareness, HSE awareness, 5S, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, lean manufacturing, problem solving, internal audit awareness, equipment/tooling readiness, tester operation basics, or OLE/OEE awareness.
