Job Description

As a Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in our organization's supply chain management. Your primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the purchasing processes and develop buying strategies that consider the company’s sustainability goals and cost-saving interests. You will engage with suppliers, and negotiate contracts to ensure that the organization's operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality, and timely delivery. With a keen eye for detail and a strategic mindset, you will help drive down costs and enhance our supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. This position requires a candidate who is proactive, has excellent negotiation skills, and can work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.
  • Assess and select potential suppliers through systematic selection criteria and processes.
  • Maintain positive supplier relationships to ensure consistent, long-term business partnership.
  • Organize and manage supplier performance reviews in line with company standards.
  • Monitor market trends and provide purchasing recommendations to management.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill procurement requests efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate procurement documentation to facilitate smooth auditing processes.
  • Develop and maintain inventory strategies to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement in procurement processes and activities.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement KPIs to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or similar procurement position required.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience in stakeholder management are essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions promptly.
  • Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and ethical standards in procurement practices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are highly desired.
