Job Description

The Procurement Manager plays a crucial role in our organization by overseeing the acquisition of goods and services needed for the company’s operations. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can analyze market trends, negotiate with suppliers, and manage budgetary constraints to ensure that the company gets the best value. The Procurement Manager is responsible for developing procurement strategies that align with the company's goals, ensuring high-quality goods at competitive prices. This role requires excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that are innovative and cost-effective.
  • Analyze market trends to anticipate goods and services purchasing needs.
  • Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Forecast demand and manage inventory levels efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and report on key procurement metrics to improve performance.
  • Manage the procurement team and ensure high performance and motivation.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and organizational policies throughout the procurement process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate procurement activities effectively.
  • Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products, or substitute materials.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts related to supplier delivery performance and service levels.
  • Identify areas for optimization and implement process improvements in procurement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience with contract management and supplier relations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a procurement team effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
