Job Description

A Procurement Analyst is a vital member of the supply chain management team, responsible for evaluating products and services to ensure the best prices, quality, and timelines are met according to company needs. This role involves thorough analysis, meticulous research, and astute vendor negotiations to optimize procurement activities. You will analyze past procurement patterns and supplier performance, make recommendations for cost efficiencies, and align procurement strategies with company goals. Responsibilities

  • Analyze and evaluate procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about market trends, pricing strategies, and supply chain innovations.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and align them with strategic business objectives.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal procurement outcomes.
  • Track supplier performance against agreed-upon terms to ensure compliance and manage potential risks.
  • Prepare and present detailed procurement reports and analytics for leadership to support strategic decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks that could affect supply chain sustainability or cost efficiency.
  • Implement procurement best practices and continuous improvement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure procurement activities are aligned with budgeting and cost management strategies.
  • Manage the procurement process from purchase requisition to order fulfillment and closure.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards during procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a procurement analyst or in a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration and negotiation.
  • Proficiency in procurement software tools and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, market analysis, and supplier relationship management.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
