The Principal - Strategy and Planning within the Group Asset Management team at AD Ports Group plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the Group Asset Management strategy across all business clusters. This position is responsible for collaborating with corporate and cluster-level strategy teams to ensure the strategic vision is cascaded, communicated, and embedded throughout the organization. The role involves translating high-level strategies into actionable plans, measurable objectives, and performance metrics, while tracking execution and driving continuous improvement.As a strategic advisor and facilitator, the Principal will support the VP - Group Asset Management and executive leadership in formulating, executing, and monitoring strategic initiatives. The role is instrumental in aligning cross-functional teams, ensuring stakeholder engagement, and maintaining rigorous reporting and analysis to enable data-driven decision-making and sustained organizational growth.

Responsibilities

Strategy Development & Execution

  • Support the development and periodic review of the Group Asset Management strategy.
  • Formulate strategic plans, frameworks, and translate them into actionable goals, objectives, measures, and targets at Group and Cluster levels.
  • Ensure strategy is cascaded, communicated, and understood across the organization.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

  • Develop and implement metrics and dashboards to track performance against strategic goals.
  • Monitor actual results, benchmark objectives, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage monthly strategic reporting and facilitate quarterly meetings with Cluster Strategy teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Collaborate with Corporate, Cluster, and Growth teams to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.
  • Support executive leadership and government stakeholders on key strategic projects.
  • Ensure clear communication of strategic priorities to all internal stakeholders and facilitate cascading by business leaders.

Strategic Initiative Tracking & Continuous Improvement

  • Track and report on the performance of key deliverables for the Group Asset Management team.
  • Coordinate with Growth, strategy and SDO to monitor strategic initiatives across the Group
  • Drive continuous improvement in strategy communication, analysis, and execution.

People Management & Cross-functional Guidance

  • Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams within Corporate and Clusters.
  • Ensure all requirements from Group Asset Management are documented, implemented, reviewed, and updated in line with organizational standards.

Qualifications

Educational and Technical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • CMRP Certification
  • IAM Certificate

Language Skills:

  • Proficient in English: Reading, writing, and speaking.
  • English (mandatory), Arabic (good to have)

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 10-12 Years of Experience in same or similar role (At least 5 years in asset-intensive sectors (ports, logistics, utilities, manufacturing, oil & gas, transportation)
  • Minimum 3 years in coordination/management roles

Nature of Experience:

  • Strong analytical capability; proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or other analytics tools.
  • Strategic Planning & KPI Development
  • Asset Management Standards (ISO 55001)
  • Project Management
