The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly accomplished Principal Solutions Architect who will also serve as a strategic advisor to the Chief Business Officer (CBO). This senior leadership role combines deep enterprise architecture expertise with consulting, presales leadership, and client advisory capabilities.

You will be expected to engage directly with clients, understand complex business and governmental budgeting processes, and drive projects from early-stage consulting and requirements gathering through proposal development, budget formation, and delivery leadership. Your remit spans data center infrastructure, hybrid/multi-cloud architectures, AI/analytics platforms, and large-scale digital transformation programs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

As the Principal Solutions Architect and Strategic Advisor to the Chief Business Officer, you will lead end-to-end client engagements, from early-stage consulting and requirements discovery through budgeting, proposal preparation, and delivery oversight. You will engage directly with senior government and enterprise stakeholders, navigate complex budgeting processes, and design enterprise-grade solutions spanning data center, hybrid cloud, and AI-driven platforms. Combining deep technical expertise with strong commercial acumen, you will shape winning strategies, guide architecture and delivery teams, and ensure solutions align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and long-term transformation goals.

Functional

Client Engagement & Advisory

• Act as the primary technical and strategic interface with clients, engaging at executive and operational levels.
• Understand and navigate the government budgeting process to position solutions effectively and secure funding approval.
• Conduct discovery sessions to capture detailed requirements—both technical and business—ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Advise clients on technology roadmaps, architecture options, and transformation strategies that align with business priorities.
  
  

Consulting & Presales Leadership

• Lead the end-to-end presales cycle—from requirements validation and solution shaping through budget estimation, proposal preparation, and presentation to client stakeholders.
• Develop compelling solution narratives, technical architectures, and ROI-driven business cases.
• Collaborate with the CBO and sales leadership to position solutions competitively and win strategic opportunities.
  
  

Enterprise Solution Architecture

• Design complex, enterprise-grade architectures that span on-premise data centers, hybrid/multi-cloud environments, and AI-enabled platforms.
• Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, security, and compliance requirements.
• Oversee architecture governance during delivery to ensure adherence to approved designs and standards.
  
  

Delivery Oversight & Team Guidance

• Provide ongoing architectural guidance and decision-making support to delivery teams post-contract award.
• Work closely with project managers and technical leads to resolve design challenges and maintain alignment with client objectives.
• Mentor technical teams in solution design best practices and strategic thinking.
  
  

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise technology leadership, and strategic advisory roles.
• Proven expertise in data center infrastructure, cloud/hybrid architectures, and enterprise-scale solution design.
• Proven track record in client-facing government or enterprise engagements, including navigating public-sector budgeting cycles.
• Strong presales and proposal leadership experience, including budget preparation and executive presentations.
• Expertise in data center infrastructure, cloud/hybrid architectures, and enterprise integration.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, able to bridge technical and business perspectives.
• Familiarity with AI/ML platforms and data analytics is an advantage.
