We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedPrincipal Infrastructure Planning Engineer to lead the planning and delivery of civil infrastructure and utility services for major master planning and land development projects across the UAE and KSA. This strategic role requires a deep understanding of regional planning frameworks, strong technical leadership, and the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary projects.
Direct involvement in large-scale master planning projects, with demonstrated experience in major infrastructure planning initiatives across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and KSA.
Review client briefs (RFPs) and develop technically sound, customized proposals aligned with project objectives and client expectations.
Lead and mentor multidisciplinary design teams to deliver efficient, high-quality, and compliant infrastructure solutions.
Ensure strict adherence to project standards, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
Lead the preparation of civil infrastructure designs and technical specifications, including detailed design reports, drawings, and calculations.
Supervise the production of feasibility studies, visioning and pre-concept exercises, and innovative project tailored servicing solutions.
Monitor and control project budgets and schedules, taking proactive measures to meet financial and delivery targets.
Coordinate with municipalities and local authorities (including utility providers) to obtain necessary approvals and ensure regulatory compliance.
Collaborate and guide clients, urban planners, architects, fire and life safety (FLS) specialists, marine engineers, road engineers, and transport planners to ensure integrated and holistic infrastructure planning.
Represent the company in meetings with clients and stakeholders, providing expert technical input and leadership.
Supervise and support the professional development and career growth of junior staff.
Hands on experience with relevant design softwares and design development process.
Candidate specifications
Minimum exprience of 12 years with extensive exposure to Master Planning
Minimum Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engineering; progressing towards Professional Registration (CEng or similar) with membership in a professional institution
Experience and skills including ProjectWise, Infraworks, Navisworks, Openutilities etc
Ability to manage a design and approval process interfacing with the project team, Clients and Stakeholders
Sound knowledge of local authority and standards mainly (DMT, TAQA, DoE/ ADWEA, ETISALAT, DU, RSB, ADM, DEWA, RTA, DM)
