RINA is currently recruiting for a Principal Engineer Power Generation to join its office in Abu Dhabi within the Operations and Maintenance Engineering Division.

Mission

The Principal Mechanical Engineering Consultant, specialising in Rotating and Static Machines, serves as the foremost authority in the field of machinery diagnostics, reliability engineering, and asset management. Drawing upon their extensive experience and technical expertise, they shape the direction of our consultancy practice, drive innovation, and deliver transformative solutions for our clients.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Leadership and Vision:

• Implement the strategic direction and long-term vision for the Rotating and Static Machines consultancy practice, aligning with organizational goals and industry trends.
• Lead the development of innovative service offerings, methodologies, and technological solutions to address emerging challenges and opportunities in machinery diagnostics and reliability engineering.
• Champion a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the consultancy firm, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among team members.
  
  

Thought Leadership and Industry Engagement:

• Serve as a recognized thought leader and subject matter expert in the field of rotating and static machinery, regularly contributing insights and expertise to industry publications, conferences, and forums.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders, academic institutions, and research organizations to stay abreast of cutting-edge developments and foster collaboration on collaborative projects and initiatives.
• Actively participate in professional societies, standards committees, and technical working groups to shape industry standards, best practices, and regulatory frameworks.
  
  

Client Engagement and Relationship Management:

• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner in addressing their most complex and critical machinery reliability challenges.
• Identify opportunities for business expansion, client diversification, and market penetration, leveraging insights and industry trends to develop tailored solutions that drive value and exceed client expectations.
• Lead client engagements and high-profile projects, providing strategic direction, technical oversight, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional results that enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  
  

Technical Leadership and Expertise:

• Provide expert guidance and technical oversight on complex machinery diagnostics, condition assessments, and reliability engineering projects, ensuring the application of best practices and state-of-the-art methodologies.
• Mentor and coach junior and senior consultants, fostering their professional development, technical proficiency, and leadership capabilities.
• Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of consultancy practice.
  
  

Business Development and Growth:

• Drive business development efforts, including proposal development, client presentations, and contract negotiations, to secure new opportunities and expand the firm's client base and revenue streams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive sustainable growth and market leadership.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and client feedback to identify emerging opportunities and potential areas for business expansion and differentiation.
  
  

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering General

Qualifications

• Extensive +10 years experience in leading and managing complex projects and teams in the field of rotating and static machinery in industrial settings.
• Demonstrated thought leadership and industry recognition through publications, presentations, and participation in professional societies and technical committees.
• Strong business acumen and proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive business growth, and achieve financial targets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
