Practice Lead - Renewables

As a Practice Lead – Renewables, you will play a pivotal role in advancing wind, solar and BESS energy projects that align with our commitment to sustainability and cutting-edge engineering practices. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will provide strategic direction, and technical expertise, and ensure the successful design, implementation, and operation of renewable energy solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth and delivery of renewable energy business.
• Provide oversight of execution of major renewable energy projects and programmes.
• Lead the bids and proposal related activities to facilitate timely submissions of bids for new opportunities while complying with WSP internal governance procedures. 
• Work closely with technical teams to develop solutions aligned with client and market requirement.
• Ability to deliver various Owner’s Engineer, LTA and Feasibility Study Assignments for renewable power projects. 
• Business development experience in renewable energy space, including wind, solar and BESS.
• Developing WSP go to market strategy for renewable and energy projects.
• Review work performed by the junior team members for maintaining the quality delivery. 
• Ability to secure and lead the execution of consultancy assignments like feasibility reports, TA, LTA and owners engineer assignments.
• Travel around the GCC region as and when required.
• Maintain good relationship with clients and ensure that delivery is as per client requirements.
• Identify opportunities to develop new clients, prepare business development plan for supporting business growth. 
• Create solid delivery model for Renewable projects in the entire region.
• Represent the business with senior clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Grow the team, guide and mentor the junior team members. 
• Experience leading teams, projects, business within engineering consultancy or major project environment.
• Collaborate with GCC team members to ensure project delivery and offering the best value proposition for the clients.  
• Project management, execution and timely cash collection to meet the business KPIs. 

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in client handling while front facing the clients on the ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Engineering Degree in Electrical engineering or similar.
• Exposure to international projects.
• Experience as a seller -doer.
