A post-doctoral position is available in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at United Arab Emirates University for the research project, “Geometry, Dynamics and Moduli Spaces of Kleinian Groups,” funded by the UPAR research program. The Postdoc will need to conduct research in Geometric Analysis, including quasiconformal mappings, along with aspects of the geometry and topology Kleinian groups and should have a Ph.D. closely related to these areas. The project is multifaceted, linking the geometry and topology of moduli spaces of discrete groups with quantifiable constraints on the geometry and topology of Riemann surfaces and hyperbolic manifolds. The appointment will be initially for one year with a possibility of extension for half a year depending upon satisfactory performance. The package includes a monthly salary of AED7000, medical insurance, and one round-trip air ticket.

Minimum Qualification

Ph.D. degree in Pure Mathematics

Preferred Qualification

Specialization in Geometric Analysis
