To supervise and manage all piping activities at the project site, ensuring that fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and international standards.



Key Responsibilities:


 1. Planning & Coordination

  • Review piping drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, and material specifications.
  • Prepare daily and weekly work schedules for piping installation.
  • Coordinate with procurement, QA/QC, and other disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation).
  • Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and manpower.


 2. Site Supervision

  • Supervise fabrication, erection, and alignment of pipes, supports, valves, and fittings.
  • Verify that installation conforms to design drawings and project requirements.
  • Monitor and control the progress of piping works at the site.
  • Resolve technical issues related to installation and coordinate with engineering for clarifications (TQ/RFI).


3. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections for fit-up, welding, and dimensional accuracy.
  • Witness and document pressure tests (hydro/pneumatic) as per test packs.
  • Liaise with QA/QC and third-party inspectors for approval of works.


4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Enforce strict adherence to safety rules and procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE at all times.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions to the HSE officer.


5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily progress reports, manpower logs, and equipment usage.
  • Update “as-built” drawings and mark-up isometrics.
  • Prepare test reports, punch lists, and handover documents.
  • Report work progress and issues to the Project Engineer/Manager.


Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of piping drawings, P&IDs, and isometrics.
  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3/B31.1, API, ASTM, and related standards.
  • Experience in hydrotesting, welding inspection, and material identification.
  • Ability to handle site coordination and manpower management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project documentation.
  • Good communication and leadership skills.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–5 years of site experience in piping works (for junior/mid-level roles).
  • 8–12 years for senior-level positions.
  • Certification in QA/QC, Welding Inspection, or Piping Design is a plus.
