As a Phlebotomist, you will play a pivotal role in the healthcare team by collecting blood samples from patients for medical testing, donations, or research purposes. Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients following proper phlebotomy techniques and standards.
• Ensure all collected samples are accurately labeled and stored safely for testing.
• Communicate effectively with patients to describe the blood draw process.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold privacy laws at all times.
• Monitor and manage inventory of phlebotomy supplies, reordering as needed.
• Ensure all equipment is sterilized and functioning before patient interactions.
• Follow safety protocols to prevent contamination or transmission of infectious diseases.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel to process and analyze collected samples.
• Maintain detailed records of patient interactions and sample collections.
• Assist with coordinating blood donation drives and special sampling events.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on industry practices.
• Address and resolve any patient concerns or complications during the blood draw process.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in phlebotomy with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and patient management systems.
