Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and dispensing medications prescribed by healthcare professionals, providing guidance on the safe and effective use of medications. Responsibilities

  • Supervise the work of pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively.
  • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure authenticity and accuracy for patient safety.
  • Consult with healthcare providers to clarify disputed prescriptions or dosage errors.
  • Stay informed about new medications, treatments, and pharmacy best practices regularly.
  • Assist patients in understanding their health insurance coverage and medication costs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmaceutical regulations and standards.
  • Manage stock levels and order supplies of medications and pharmaceutical products.
  • Educate patients about potential side effects and drug interactions of medications.
  • Conduct medication reviews and develop strategies to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • Current and valid pharmacy license in the state of practice is mandatory.
  • Proven experience working as a licensed Pharmacist in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical laws, regulations, and professional ethics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy software systems and technology used in healthcare.
