The Payments Product Manager is responsible for managing the complete pre–go-live lifecycle of financial payment products. This includes product strategy, payment flow design, requirements definition, compliance alignment, documentation, technical onboarding, UAT execution, and ensuring merchants and resellers are fully prepared for a seamless go live.
After go-live, the role remains accountable for product-level improvements, roadmap development, structural fixes, automation initiatives, and enhancements driven by merchant and operations feedback—without involvement in day-to-day operations or daily issue handling.
This position requires a structured, analytical professional with strong communication, disciplined documentation practices, and the ability to collaborate effectively across Product, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Resellers, Agents, and Merchant teams.

Plan and support sprint-based releases in coordination with the Technology team, ensuring timely and stable deployment of features and improvements.
Prioritize features, improvements, and defect fixes based on impact and customer needs.
Maintain accurate and updated product documentation, including API guides, SOPs, integration rules, and release notes.
Conduct product retrospectives for integration cycles, releases, systemic issues, and escalations.
Lead automation and tooling initiatives to reduce manual work and improve reliability.
Own product-level decisions and clarifications independently.
Merchant Onboarding
Lead the end-to-end merchant onboarding and technical integration process.
Provide integration documentation and support merchants through testing phases.
Conduct UAT and validate all core flows, including deposits, withdrawals, callbacks, refunds, reversals, and settlements.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to resolve integration issues and ensure product stability.
Approve merchant readiness for go-live only when all flows comply with product specifications.
Oversee the rollout of new PSPs, payment methods, and product enhancements.
Product Insights & Enhancements
Analyze merchant and reseller performance data to identify recurring issues and product gaps.
Convert operational and merchant insights into actionable product improvements.
Prioritize enhancements that increase success rates, reduce manual intervention, or stabilize payment journeys.
Own long-term improvements in callbacks, settlement logic, refund flows, reconciliation processes, and automation.
Maintain continuous visibility into post-go-live behaviour to inform future roadmap priorities.
Marketing Support
Provide Marketing with product insights, usage data, and feature updates.
Share merchant success stories and value propositions for promotional material.
Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing to create merchant-facing content such as product guides, FAQs, and demos.
Identify growth opportunities based on activation, adoption, and usage trends.
Ensure pre-sales materials reflect accurate and updated product capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Technology teams during sprints and releases to ensure stable product deployment.
Partner with Finance on reconciliation logic, fee structures, and settlement behavior.
Collaborate with Compliance to ensure flows align with regulatory and KYC requirements.
Support Business Development with feasibility checks, solutioning, timelines, and technical clarity.
Train Operations, Customer Support, and Resellers on new product flows, features, and expected behaviors as part of product releases.
