Job Description

The Packing Supervisor is a crucial role within the logistics and operations department, responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the packing team to ensure that all products are packed efficiently and safely. This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and guide the team. The Packing Supervisor is tasked with maintaining quality standards, improving packing processes, and ensuring that all operations comply with industry regulations. Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations of the packing department to ensure efficiency and quality.
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet production and shipping deadlines effectively.
  • Oversee inventory levels of packing materials and place orders when necessary.
  • Ensure all team members are trained on safety standards and quality procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance packing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain high safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports related to product packaging operations.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance and provide constructive feedback regularly.
  • Resolve any operational issues within the packing department promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Implement training programs to improve team skills and knowledge consistently.
  • Manage and minimize packing waste to contribute to cost-saving initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a supervisor or team leader in a packing or logistics role.
  • Strong understanding of packing processes and materials in industrial settings.
  • Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant technology tools.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
