Job Description

As an Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will be an essential part of a dedicated healthcare team focused on diagnosing, preventing, and treating musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. You will work with patients suffering from conditions involving muscles, bones, tendons, and joints, using advanced surgical techniques to improve their quality of life. Your role will require a deep understanding of anatomy, precise surgical skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. This is a highly specialized field that demands a strong commitment to ongoing education and research to stay abreast of the latest medical advancements. As you work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, your ultimate goal will be to restore function and improve mobility for your patients.


Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' conditions through detailed examinations and diagnostic tests.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for musculoskeletal issues.
  • Perform a wide range of surgical procedures to address orthopedic problems.
  • Monitor patients’ recovery and adjust treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists to design post-surgery rehabilitation plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
  • Stay updated on the latest orthopaedic surgical techniques and innovations.
  • Participate in continuous medical education and professional organization meetings.
  • Ensure surgical instruments and environments are meeting sterilization standards.
  • Maintain meticulous patient records and provide thorough documentation of procedures.
  • Consult with other physicians and healthcare professionals on patient care.
  • Provide on-call services as needed to address urgent orthopaedic conditions.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in orthopedic surgery.
  • Board certification in orthopedic surgery is mandatory or actively seeking board certification.
  • Valid medical license to practice.
  • Proven experience as an orthopedic surgeon with significant hands-on surgical experience.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina for long surgical procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
