Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optometrist to join our team. As an optometrist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive eye care services to patients of all ages. Your primary focus will be on conducting eye examinations, diagnosing vision problems, and prescribing corrective lenses or other treatment options. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care and management of ocular diseases. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to determine visual acuity and diagnose eye conditions.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and optical aids for patients.
  • Diagnose and manage ocular diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for patient care coordination.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to assess patients’ eye health accurately.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in optometry and implement best practices.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care and guidance for eye surgeries.
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service and patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct research and contribute to public health education on eye conditions.
  • Participate in community outreach programs to promote eye health awareness.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Licensed to practice optometry.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to diagnose a wide range of eye conditions.
  • Proficient in the use of optometric equipment and technology.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing comprehensive eye care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
