We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations using the latest diagnostic equipment and techniques.
  • Diagnose and treat vision conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other visual aids to improve vision.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care and the implications of various eye diseases.
  • Perform pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing eye surgery or laser vision correction.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to co-manage eye health-related conditions.
  • Stay current with developments in optometry and participate in continuing education programs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage optical prescriptions using electronic health systems.
  • Advise patients on lens coatings, frames, and other eyewear options tailored to their needs.
  • Identify and refer patients to specialists for advanced diagnostic tests or treatments when necessary.
  • Provide emergency eye care and respond to patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Engage in practice management tasks to ensure the seamless operation of the optometry clinic.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school.
  • Valid state optometry license and the ability to maintain it in good standing.
  • Proven expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic optometry, with strong clinical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex eye health information clearly.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle emergency eye care situations.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and optical management software.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry changes.
