Job Purpose
To ensure safe operation of the Terminal/Depot by consistent walk around inspections of Depot operation
facilities like Loading Racks, Pump house, Tank Farm etc. and to report abnormalities. To oversee vehicle
loading and offloading operations and to provide needful support for the supervisors in the field for product
receiving, storage and quality & quantity assurance etc. in line with laid down procedure.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Supply Operations
- Perform daily walk around inspections of the instruments, gauges and meters in order to identify any
potential risks and report any expected dangers or hazards, possible problems or malfunctioning of
the equipment to supervisors so that required course of action can be taken.
- Ensure the tanks, pipelines and necessary fittings are properly lined up for loading / receiving
operations and operate the equipment’s and valves as instructed by Supply Supervisor.
- Oversee/Perform loading operation and ensure the operation is carried out according to laid down
procedures. Ensure Road tankers have been perfectly sealed and loading arms are properly handled
and parked back after the completion of loading. Reports any spillage of products or any defects in
road tankers to the supply supervisors.
- Perform offloading operation and ensure HSSE procedures are followed throughout the operations.
- Perform Product Draining, Sampling & Physical Dip from product storage tanks, vehicle etc as
instructed by supervisors.
- Ensure sampling equipment including buckets, bottles, close-sampling systems, etc are clean and
good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.
- Prepare and maintain required checklist and data sheet and handover to the supervisor for the review
and necessary action.
- Assists the supervisors for doing refractor meter test and Millipore test. Measure the temperature,
density for JET-A1 product in regular intervals and handover to the supervisors for the purpose of
quality assurance (At Musaffah & Hamriyya Depot).
Job Specific Accountabilities2
Perform visual tests to check the qualities of products such as assessing levels of bottom sediment,
water and foreign materials in oil samples and notify the result to Supervisors.
- Assist the Supervisors in reconciliation process and record the RFT and Batch Controller readings
whenever required.
- Perform Jet Fuel Road tanker loading, bulk loading & drums filling and seal them properly. Stick
batch details on Jet A1 filled drums and load them into the carrier for the delivery or to move them in
to the store (At Musaffah & Hamriyya Depot)
- Monitor additive injection systems and replace FSII and CI drums on depletion at JP-8 loading Bays
(At Musaffah Depot).
- Ensure Dye injection systems is functioning well by coordinating with 3rd Party contractor / vendor (At
Hamriyya, Sharjah & RAK Depot).
- Performs other related duties as instructed by Supervisors.
HSE
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability
guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
- Perform the job safely in line with HSE procedures
- Ensure full compliance to PPE and other safety regulations
- Reports all Incidents and Near Misses, immediately to the supervisor
- Follows Company Emergency Procedures and participates in Emergency drills accordingly.
- Participates in safety talks/Meetings.
- Participate in HSE campaigns, training courses, awareness sessions and initiatives deployment to
ensure meeting the objectives.
HSE - fire-fighting Operations:
- Carry out regular and surprise rounds of critical areas of operation as well as facilities to ensure that
fire equipment are in workable conditions at all times and stop/ report unsafe precedents.
- Inspect, clean and test fire-fighting apparatus, tools and equipment, including hose and hose fittings,
hydrants, ladders and hand extinguishers to ensure all firefighting equipment are in good condition
and ready to be used when required.
- Respond to fire or accident alarms from the plants control rooms, determine the approach to fire’s
location, make the necessary hose connections to fixed fire hydrants, and start firefighting using
appropriate fighting tools according to the source of fire.
- Participate in taking emergency actions dictated by the situation to ensure quick and immediate
response to the emergency.
- Monitor screens & alarm systems in firefighting control room and communicate emergencies as per
ADNOC Distribution’s Procedure.
Minimum Qualification
Secondary or High School Certificate, or Vocational Trade Diploma
Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 3 years’ experience in a relevant field
- Good knowledge of Arabic and English languages
- Physically fit
