Job Description

Job Purpose

Performs safe and timely re-fuelling/de-fuelling of aircrafts in full compliance to Aviation Standards, Airport Regulations and ADNOC standards and requirements in a safe and efficient manner.

Coordinates with customer representatives at the aircraft and report all customer feedback, operational and safety issues and vehicle defects to the supervisor and maintenance team.

Perform quality control checks on product as per laid down standards of ADNOC Aviation Division Quality Control procedures.

Perform the job safely in line with HSE policy, Airport Safety and regulations and ADNOC Integrated Management system.

Job Specific Accountabilities

Fuelling Operations

  • Refuel and defuel customer aircrafts as per his assigned schedule, ensuring that all operations are carried out properly and efficiently in accordance with company standards.
  • Receiving all relevant details, from Superior of amount of fuel to be supplied, type of dispenser or fueller, Aircraft parking, Gate No., type of Aircraft etc. before conducting the fuelling operation.
  • Checks refuelling vehicle before proceeding to an aircraft to ensure that there are no defects with the equipment and reports any malfunctioning to supervisor for necessary action.
  • Drives to apron following the speed limits, positions refuelling vehicle near aircraft as required. Connects bonding hoses to aircraft and hydrant pit as applicable.
  • Ensures hoses and nozzle are secured as per the prescribed standards. Disconnect hoses, bonding after completion of fuelling operations.
  • During supplying fuel, checks in and around vehicle in the interests of safety, drives vehicle to aircraft fuelling point, connects hose, starts the refuelling process, takes samples, disconnects hose, fills in receipt.
  • Completes all related documentations and obtains signature from the customers representative or agent and gives signed copy to the rep/agent.
  • Drives safely after completion of refuelling operations to the depot or approaches another aircraft as directed. Ensures the safety of the property as well as the apron staff.
  • Keep a constant vigil on the fuelling process, fuelling vehicle and operations surrounding.
  • Verify the fuel requirement with aircraft technician/pilot and start the fuelling with his instruction
  • Perform the product visual check as per Aviation Quality Manual during fuelling and completion of fuelling.

Refuelling with Refueller Vehicle

  • Check the available quantity in assigned refueller and drive the assigned refueller following airport safety and security rules.
  • Position the refueller safely and properly and connect the fuelling equipment as per Aviation Operating Manual.
  • Verify the fuel requirement with aircraft technician/pilot and start the fuelling with his instruction.
  • Complete the delivery ticket process through car PC or prepare Manual ticket.
  • Disconnect the fuelling equipment as per Aviation Operation Manual and verify all hoses are on place.
  • Load the Refueller Vehicle when required as per the instruction from Supervisor.

Perform Defueling:

  • Position the Refueler safely and properly and verify the flight details with noted details.
  • Take sample from aircraft tank and perform Quality Control Check as per Aviation Operations Manual.
  • Connect the fuelling equipment as per Aviation Operating Manual.
  • Verify the defuel requirement with aircraft technician/pilot and start the defueling with his instruction.
  • Stop the defueling based on Refueler capacity and technician advice then complete the delivery ticket process.
  • Disconnect the defueling equipment as per Aviation Operation Manual and verify all hoses are on place.
  • Inform the shift supervisor about the defueling completion and wait for further instruction.

HSE

  • Follows the operations emergency plans and evacuation procedures and can use the safety equipment and fire extinguishers.
  • Participate in all the operations’ HSE campaigns, training courses, awareness sessions and initiatives deployment to ensure meeting the objectives per each.
  • Ensure full compliance to PPE and other safety regulations when assuming all the operations
  • Reports all Incidents and Near Misses, immediately to the supervisor
  • Follows company emergency and the operations group procedures and participates in Emergency drills accordingly.

Fire-Fighting Operations:

  • Carry out regular and surprise rounds of critical areas of operation as well as facilities to ensure that fire equipment are in workable conditions at all times and stop/ report unsafe precedents.
  • Inspect, clean and test fire-fighting apparatus, tools and equipment, including hose and hose fittings, hydrants, ladders and hand extinguishers to ensure all firefighting equipment are in good condition and ready to be used when required.
  • Respond to fire or accident alarms from the plants control rooms, determine the approach to fire’s location, make the necessary hose connections to fixed fire hydrants, and start firefighting using appropriate fighting tools according to the source of fire.
  • Participate in taking emergency actions dictated by the situation to ensure quick and immediate response to the emergency.

Product Quality:

  • Takes regular fuel samples before, during and after refuelling from filter inlet / sump/ outlet, as per procedure, to check the fuel quality.
  • Perform quality checks on different fixed/ mobile equipment as per aviation requirement and as assigned by the supervisor.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Carries out daily/weekly/monthly serviceability checks of mobile and static fuelling equipment as and when assigned by the supervisor.
  • Carries out manual tasks as necessary in the depot and apron including pits cleaning, , hose pulling, connecting, disconnecting and taking samples, replenishing refuellers, etc. as required and according to the defined procedures.
  • Tops up Gas oil on mobile units as needed.
  • Report the defects and problems to the shift supervisor and log them in the maintenance logbook.

Customer Support:

  • Help and support the customer whenever its needed.
  • Guide the customers to the safe practices if needed and Report customers concerns to the shift supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Secondary/high School Certificate.
  • 3 years of experience as Fuelling operator.

Professional Certifications

  • UAE valid manual heavy-duty driving license.
  • UAE valid light-duty driving license (Preferably Manual).
  • Valid Forklift license (As per the site requirement)
