Operations Systems Specialist - Departure Control Systems

Synopsis

We are seeking an experienced Operations Systems Specialist to lead the optimisation and delivery of airport operational systems, with a primary focus on the Departure Control System (DCS). Acting as the bridge between Airport Operations, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders, you will drive system enhancements, lead strategic projects, support airport deployments, and translate operational needs into technology solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and the passenger experience.

Key Accountabilities

• Act as the SME for the Departure Control System (DCS), providing functional expertise and support to stakeholders across the airport operation.
• Own and maintain DCS configurations, ensuring alignment with operational, commercial, and regulatory requirements.
• Act as the key liaison between Airport Operations, IT, vendors, and business stakeholders, translating requirements into system solutions.
• Lead cross-functional projects and system enhancements, ensuring successful delivery and adoption within the operational environment.
• Support the deployment of DCS solutions at new airports, ensuring operational readiness and successful implementation.
• Manage testing, validation, documentation, and change activities associated with system enhancements and releases.
• Drive continuous improvement through optimisation of airport processes, system capabilities, operational performance, and customer experience.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ operational experience in airline and/or ground handling operations.
• On-the-job DCS training.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage system configurations and deployments.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• Subject matter expertise in departure control and/or reservations systems.
• Working understanding of system integration with airline operational workflows.
